The 11 of 60 models Else can run whose maker documents PDF input. A maker's claim, not our measurement.
Some makers document PDF as an input their model handles directly, rather than as text someone extracted first. 11 of the 60 models Else can run carry that claim. We have not measured it ourselves — this page is the maker’s published specification and is labelled that way on purpose.

How this list is decided
Section titled “How this list is decided”The PDF claim comes from a reviewed snapshot of maker-published specifications, vendored into our repo (scripts/data/vendor-published-model-specs.json), not from a probe we ran. We hold that snapshot for 40 of the 60 selectable models; the other 20 have no vendored claim, so they cannot appear here even if their maker does support PDFs.
This is the weakest evidence on any of these pages, and it is separated from our own measurements for exactly that reason. A maker’s specification is what the maker intends; our probe results are what we saw happen. Where the two could be confused we keep them apart: the Images in column on Model prices is always ours, and PDF support is always theirs. If a PDF comes back badly read, extract the text and attach that instead.
