Everything below is free to use when you're writing or talking about Else. Please use the supplied files rather than a screenshot, and please don't redraw anything.
A rounded square with the top-left corner removed. The corner you keep is the part only you can do; the remainder is what you hand over. The geometry is fixed — that notch is the idea, so it can't be resized, rotated or filled with a gradient.
SVG for anything on screen or in print. PNG where a raster is required.
Use the supplied SVG, at whatever size keeps the wordmark legible.
Leave clear space around the lockup — at least the height of the capital E on every side.
Put the coral wordmark on paper, white, or any light neutral background.
Use the single-colour version on dark, photographic or one-ink backgrounds.
Use the mark on its own once the name is already established nearby.
Don't redraw, rotate, skew, outline or add a gradient, shadow or glow.
Don't change the proportions of the notch, or round its inner corner.
Don't recolour the wordmark into a colour that isn't in the palette below.
Don't set the coral mark on a coral or mid-tone background where it stops reading.
Don't combine the mark with another logo inside one lockup, or imply a partnership we haven't announced.
Coral is identity only — it is never an interaction colour. Each of the others means exactly one thing, everywhere.
Identity. The mark, the wordmark's period, the avatar. Never a button, never a link.
Text, and the inverse blocks punched out of the page. A warm near-black, never pure black.
The page ground. Warm off-white — the raised white of a card is what carries hierarchy.
The single interaction accent: focus, emphasis, the one highlighted phrase in a headline.
Money and trust: charged amounts, live progress, granted permissions. It means settled and auditable, not “success”.
Hairlines and dividers only. It is decoration, never a text colour.
All three are open-licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, and we self-host them rather than loading them from anyone else's server.
Every headline and section title on elsedoes.com. Tight tracking at large sizes — editorial, not decorative.
Body copy, navigation, labels, buttons. Deliberately neutral: it should recede so the headline and the numbers do the talking.
Every amount, duration and receipt line, with tabular figures on. Nothing that isn't a quantity may use it.
Need a format that isn't here, or a use these rules don't cover? Write to us — we'd rather answer than see the mark redrawn.
